ChatGPT conversation video

Write a prompt and a reply, and get a video of the prompt typing in, a thinking pause, and the reply streaming out in a ChatGPT style window.

  • Prompt, thinking pause, then the reply streams in
  • Markdown in the reply: bold, code, lists and headings
  • Phone window for 9:16, desktop window with sidebar for 16:9
  • Always carries the Recreated label

The example above was made in Reyoy, exported at 9:16 and 6 seconds long. The button opens the tool with the same prompt and reply. Every chat mockup is written by hand, so it always carries the Recreated label.

How to do it

  1. 1

    Write the prompt

    Type what the user asks.

  2. 2

    Write the reply

Type the answer. Use markdown for bold, inline code, fenced code blocks, lists and headings.

  3. 3

    Set the timing

Prompt speed, reply speed, the thinking pause and the hold at the end each have their own slider.

  4. 4

Pick a model name and export

Choose a model label from the list, or type your own, then download the MP4.

What it is for

Tutorials, slides, memes and explainers where a chat window is the clearest way to show an idea. You write both halves, so nothing here calls OpenAI, and nothing here is a real response.

Timing that reads well

The prompt types at up to 60 characters a second, then the pause, then the reply streams at up to 200 characters a second, which is closer to how a reply arrives. The example here is 6 seconds long.

Honest by design

Every chat mockup carries a small Recreated label on every frame, in the preview and in the file. Do not present one as something ChatGPT actually said. Reyoy is not affiliated with OpenAI.

Questions

Does this connect to ChatGPT?

No. You write the prompt and the reply yourself. There is no API and no account.

Can I use light mode?

Yes. Pick Light or Dark above the prompt.

Can I remove the Recreated label?

No. It is part of every mockup frame, and removing it breaks the terms.
