Privacy policy

reyoy is a small free tool that turns a public X post into a video. This page explains what happens to the small amount of data involved.

What reyoy does with the link you paste

When you paste a post link and press Fetch, that link is sent to a serverless function on this site. The function checks that it is an x.com or twitter.com post link, then asks X's public oEmbed endpoint for the public information about that post: the display name, the handle, the post text and the date. It also asks X's public syndication endpoint for the profile picture and any photo attachments.

We do not store the link, the post, or anything derived from them. The response is cached for up to an hour by the hosting network so that a repeated request for the same post is faster, and that cache holds nothing that identifies you. We have no database and no user accounts.

The video is made on your device

All rendering and video encoding happen in your own browser using its built in canvas and video encoder. The frames, the finished MP4 and any avatar image you upload never leave your device and are never sent to us. Closing the tab discards everything.

Hosting and server logs

This site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes standard request information such as your IP address, the requested URL, the time and your browser user agent in order to serve the page and to protect the service from abuse. See the Vercel privacy policy.

Advertising

reyoy shows ads through Google AdSense to cover hosting costs.

• Third party vendors, including Google, may set and read cookies in your browser, or use web beacons, to collect information for ad serving and measurement.

If you are in a region covered by the GDPR or similar rules, a consent message is shown before personalised ad cookies are set, and you can change your choice at any time from that message.

Cookies we set ourselves

None. reyoy sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics product. Any cookie you see in this site comes from the advertising provider above.

Children

reyoy is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Since reyoy holds no personal data of its own, there is nothing for us to export or delete. For advertising data, use the Google controls linked above. For anything else, email dylandirectories11@gmail.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
