Privacy policy

Reyoy is a small free tool that turns a public post into a video. This page explains what happens to the small amount of data involved.

What Reyoy does with the link you paste

When you paste a post link and press Fetch, that link is sent to a serverless function on this site, one for each source. The function checks that it is a post link from that site (X, Reddit, Bluesky, Mastodon or Hacker News), then asks that site's public endpoint for the public information about that post: the display name, the handle, the post text and the date, and where the site offers them, the profile picture and any photo attachments. For an X post that means X's public oEmbed and syndication endpoints.

We do not store the link, the post, or anything derived from them. The response is cached for up to an hour by the hosting network so that a repeated request for the same post is faster, and that cache holds nothing that identifies you. We have no user accounts, and nothing from the posts you fetch goes into a database.

The video is made on your device

All rendering and video encoding happen in your own browser using its built in canvas and video encoder. The frames, the finished MP4 and any avatar image you upload never leave your device and are never sent to us. Closing the tab discards everything.

Hosting and server logs

This site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes standard request information such as your IP address, the requested URL, the time and your browser user agent in order to serve the page and to protect the service from abuse. See the Vercel privacy policy.

Analytics

Reyoy uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and a few events. It sets no cookies and does not identify you across sites. The events are counts only: that a video was exported, with the source page and the format (for example "reddit" and "9:16"), that a guide page button was pressed, and that an affiliate link was clicked. No post text, link, name or video is included. See Vercel's analytics privacy notes.

Affiliate links

Some links on Reyoy are affiliate links, such as the Revid, ElevenLabs and Submagic links in the banner marked "Affiliate" under the tool, on the card that appears after an export and on the tools page. If you follow one and sign up, that company may set its own cookie to record that you came from Reyoy, and it may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra. What that company does with your data is covered by its own privacy policy.

Cookies we set ourselves

None. Reyoy sets no cookies of its own, and the analytics above are cookieless. A site you reach through an affiliate link may set its own.

Children

Reyoy is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Reyoy holds no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to export or delete. For anything else, email support@sundrymill.com or send a direct message to @Dylveloper on X.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
