    Drop in a public post link from any instance. reyoy asks that instance for the post through its public API and fills in the display name, handle, avatar, text and date.

Is it free?

Yes. reyoy is free to use and there is no account. The site carries ads to cover hosting.

Does this need an API key or a login?

No. Most instances answer a single public status without a token, which is all reyoy asks for. Some instances lock their API down, and those come back with a clear message. Nothing you paste is stored.

Which browsers can export?

Export needs the WebCodecs video encoder, which means a recent Chrome or Edge on desktop. The preview works everywhere. If your browser cannot encode, the download button will tell you.

Why did my link fail?

Followers-only and direct posts are not public, deleted posts are gone, and an instance running in secure mode will refuse anonymous reads. Open "Write it yourself" and type the post in by hand instead.

What is the "Recreated" mark?

Anything typed in by hand carries a small Recreated label beside the date and a quiet mark in the corner of the video, and it never gets a verified tick. That keeps manual mode useful for your own drafts and for parody while making it clear the card is not a screenshot of a real post. Posts loaded from a real link render clean.

Can I use any post?

Only if you have the right to. Use your own posts, or get permission from whoever wrote the one you want. Never pass a post you typed yourself off as someone else's real one. You are responsible for what you make and where you post it.

What sizes can I export?

9:16 at 1080 x 1920, 1:1 at 1080 x 1080, 16:9 at 1920 x 1080 and 4:5 at 1080 x 1350. All at 30 frames per second, H.264, no audio track.

Is reyoy connected to Mastodon?

No. reyoy is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Mastodon gGmbH. Every name and logo belongs to its owner.
